Small and large wild animals get hurt in traffic every day, causing substantial material damage and often causing injuries to drivers and other traffic participants. Waldpass is an innovative wildlife deterrent that safely keeps animals away from roads and traffic.

Waldpass is an electronic safety gadget that uses infrared light to keep animals away from roads and traffic. Infrared light is invisible to the human eye so it doesn't affect drivers and other traffic participants, but the animals notice it very well, perceive it as a threat and keep away from it. The device is installed on license plates, it emits infrared light at a 30-degree angle on both sides of the car, so moving vehicles cover both sides of the road. In keeping animals away from roads using infrared light cumulative effect is important — broad use of such devices in traffic would cause the animals to create a habit of avoiding the roads and reduce the possibility of wildlife-vehicle collisions.

Visual identity is inspired by the vivid colours of traffic signs and typography used to mark roads. The focus of the identity is a FF DIN typeface, bright green colour and patterns simultaneously evoking tire marks and forest. The simplicity of visual identity continues in the usage on all communication materials, including the packaging of the product.
